Product description:
The primary emulsifier is designed for use in diesel, mineral and synthetic oil based drilling fluid systems. SCETEMUL helps stabilize emulsions, aid suspension properties, and reduce HPHT filtration. SCETEMUL can collaborate with SCETEMUL to achieve the optimum emulsion effect.
Applications/functions:
• Helps form stable water-in-oil emulsions or all oil system
• Helps maintain high-temperature, high-pressure filtrate in a water-free state
• Improves the thermal stability and contamination-resistance of an oil mud
• Improves emulsion stability
Advantages:
• Can be added directly to the system
• Minimal alkalinity requirement
• Thermally stable at temperatures greater than200ºC(392ºF)
• Can be engineered in diesel, mineral oil and synthetic oil
• Can function as a secondary wetting agent and provides viscosity.
Typical properties:
• Appearance: Brown liquid
• Flash Point: 100ºC(212ºF)
• pH: 9
• Specific gravity: 0.87
Recommended treatment:
• For normal applications, add 24-48kg/m3(8.40-16.80lb/bbl)
• Recommended addition ratio of SCETEMUL and SCETCOAT range from 4:1 to 1:1, depending on the properties desired and other components in the system.
Packaging:
• SCETEMUL primary emulsifier is packed in 55-gal (208-l) drums and in bulk
• Store in a dry, well-ventilated area. Keep container closed. Keep away from heat, sparks and flame. Store away from incompatibles.
• Follow safe warehousing practices regarding palletizing, banding, shrink-wrapping and/or stacking.
