Product description:
The secondary emulsifier functions as a wetting agent and secondary emulsifier when used in water in oil emulsion, the product oil-wets barite and drill solids to prevent water-wet solids; it improves thermal stability, rheological stability, filtration control and emulsion stability; and it improves the fluid's resistance to contamination. With combination with SCETEMUL to achieve the optimum application.
Applications/functions:
• Helps form stable water-in-oil emulsions or all oil system.
• Promote oil-wetting in invert emulsion systems.
• Helps improve thermal stability.
• Improve electrical stability measurements.
Advantages:
• Can be added directly to the system
• Minimal alkalinity requirement
• Thermally stable at temperatures greater than200ºC(392ºF)
• Can be engineered in diesel, mineral oil and synthetic oil

• Appearance: Brown liquid
• Flash Point: 113ºC(235.4ºF)
• pH: 7
• Specific gravity: 0.86
Recommended treatment:
• For normal applications, add 6-12kg/m3(2.10-4.20lb/bbl)
• Recommended addition ratio of JHEMUL and JHCOAT range from 4:1 to 1:1, depending on the
properties desired and other components in the system.
Packaging:
• SCETCOAT secondary emulsifier is packed in 55-gal (208-l) drums and in bulk
• Store in a dry, well-ventilated area. Keep container closed. Keep away from heat, sparks and flame. Store away from incompatibles.
• Follow safe warehousing practices regarding palletizing, banding, shrink-wrapping and/or stacking.
